Port McNeill is located scenic two-and-a-half hour drive from the Comox airport, a four hour drive from the Nanaimo ferry terminal, or a six hour drive from Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. Be sure to book your accommodations in advance, as it can get pretty busy up here in the Summer!

The Port McNeill area offers an abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities! Your journey can take you to the waters of Johnstone Straits, Blackfish Sound, the Broughton Archipelago, or Knight Inlet. During the trip, you can encounter orcas, humpback whales, Minke whales, white-sided dolphins, Dall porpoises, harbour porpoises, sea lions, seals, or sea otters! There is also a plethora of bird life, from the majestic bald eagle and blue heron, to the diminutive marbled murrelet and phalarope.

On the beaches and estuaries, there are grizzly bears, black bears, black-tailed deer, and if you are really lucky, the occasional wolf or cougar! Knight Inlet also offers breath-taking scenery, snow-capped mountains rising straight from the sea and spectacular water falls.
