Dolphins and Porpoises

On our wildlife tours, it is almost impossible not to come across these little speedsters. We have two types of porpoises here, the Dall porpoise and the smaller harbour porpoise. Porpoises tend to be a little on the shy side, and therefore hard to photograph. The Dall porpoise is the fastest marine mammal we have here!
The pacific white-sided dolphin, on the other hand, is a regular ham. They love to follow boats and surf on the bow and stern waves, doing cartwheels, back-flips, or leaping straight up into the air. They are a photographers dream!
